Marc Hirschi will be swapping UAE Team Emirates for the Tudor Pro Cycling Team in 2025. Before the former Swiss national champion departs the scene however, he is making sure he leaves on a high.
Over the last month, Hirschi has claimed a stage of the Czech Tour plus the general classification win, followed by success at Clasica San Sebastian last time out and now, victory at the 2024 Bretagne Classic on Sunday afternoon after a thrilling and relentlessly attacking day of racing.
"There were a lot of riders who were at the same level, we were all very strong and no one was superior to the others," Hirschi reflected in his post-race interview afterwards. "On the last climb, I told myself that this was my last chance to go and win. I managed to make a small gap and I knew that after that I would have the wind at my back."
