Pello Bilbao has completed the best
Tour de France of his career. The veteran
Bahrain - Victorious rider was very well prepared because the first stages started from the Basque Country and he completed a dream Grande Boucle finishing sixth overall and winning a stage.
He remembered
Gino Mäder talking to RTVE: "We have to be aware of what we have done, 3 very special victories with the most special of the dedication." He commented that he is now going to race the Klasikoa and then it's time to rest, as he has spent the first part of the year preparing for the Tour. "I'm going to do the San Sebastian classic and then rest. It's been intense months preparing, I knew it was a unique opportunity to do well in the Tour and we've done it, now vacation after the Classic."
