Nils Eekhoff an early abandon on stage 19 of 2024 Tour de France

For anyone not feeling at full strength, today could be an absolute nightmare day on the bike at the 2024 Tour de France on stage 19. With two HC climbs on the menu before a summit finish atop Isola 2000, the casualties are already being felt in the peloton.
Whilst Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL's Oscar Onley finds himself up the road in an elite, nine man breakaway early on, the Brit's 26-year-old Dutch teammate, Nils Eekhoff has been forced to abandon the fourth Grand Tour of his career after visibly struggling at the back.
It's not yet known the reason for Eekhoff's struggles, but as soon as more information is revealed, we will keep you up to date!

- Pointless reporting. They are rivals, each tries their way to get their best result, with or without collaboration. As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news). Anyone riding races will go through dozens of moments per race where they get emotional about the way someone else rides or takes advantage or doesn’t collaborate or more, it is natural, it is justified, it is NOT newsworthy!Mistermaumau17-11-2024
