Movistar Team has unveiled the kit with which it will compete in the 2024 Vuelta a Espana that will start in Lisbon this coming Saturday, August 17. The team celebrates its 100th anniversary, so the kit created by Gobik is full of details that pay tribute to that with numerous references to Madrid and the charismatic building that the company has in Gran Vía street.
Thus, the jersey is white with light blue details with the large 'M' in the center in a darker blue. This is a great tribute initiative that is sure to attract special jersey collectors as well. The bib shorts are a simpler, very dark blue, but still make for a spectacular kit.
"The 'telefónica' buildings will be reflected in the 'centenary' kit that Movistar Team will use in La Vuelta a España. They say that gratitude is the memory of the heart, and there is no better time than the great tour of our country to thank so many generations of Telefónica workers who did something unique, because they believed that the impossible was possible. Telefónica is a fascinating story of constant transformation and, in La Vuelta, Movistar Team will reach all homes along with its emblematic kit for the race, with which it will proudly remember who we are and where we come from. Celebrating the construction of an exciting future," they say on the official website of the Movistar Team.
The ABUS helmet worn by Enric Mas, Pelayo Sánchez and company has the same details and is also designed with a white background and light blue drawings.
