The 2024/25 Cyclocross World Cup, which resumed this Saturday in Hulst, has been affected by the accident suffered by Cat Ferguson. Movistar Team's star addition was making her third appearance of the winter after showings in Namur and Herentals.

The moment of the accident occurred on the 2nd lap of the World Cup Hulst, which was subsequently won by Marie Schreiber. The 18-year-old British rider, as confirmed by the Movistar Team itself, has been taken to hospital, where she will undergo a medical examination.

Late that same night, Movistar Team posted an update to Ferguson's condition on their official social media pages. "Cat Ferguson out for upcoming cyclocross races," the Spanish team explains. "After a crash in Hulst, she sustained no serious injuries but will remain under observation and miss the Christmas races."
