CHAMPIONSHIP IN EL ESCORIAL

The town of Galapagar will be in charge of hosting on Friday 21 the start and finish of the time trials Elite UCI-Elite Men, U23 Men and Elite-U23 Women. These competitions will be contested over the same 33.4 km route and 380 meters of accumulated elevation gain. This exciting opening day will mark the beginning of a weekend full of adrenaline and effort at the Spanish Championships, with some of the best cyclists in the country competing for glory.

From Saturday, San Lorenzo de El Escorial will take over for the celebration of the Elite-U23 female and U23 male online races. These races will be developed around two loops to which the cyclists will ride different numbers of laps: a long one of 36 km and a shorter one of 13 km, which will include the demanding ramps of the slopes of the Alto de Abantos. This variation in the route will ensure a diverse and challenging spectacle, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats as the competitors fight for victory.

Sunday will be the grand finale of this 2024 edition of the Spanish Championship with the Elite UCI-Elite Men's online race. This event will be held on the same two circuits as the previous races and will have the privilege of starting and finishing in front of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. This emblematic historical monument will provide a majestic setting for one of the most special weekends of national cycling, consolidating its importance in the Spanish sporting calendar and offering an unforgettable experience for both participants and fans.
