Movistar adds young time trialist Ivan Romeo to the team - "A dream is coming true"

Ivan Romeo has officially signed a contract with Movistar. The Spaniard will ride for the team till 2025.

Alejandro Valverde is someone he admires, and though they won't ride together, he will have the pleasure of working with him when Valverde joins Movistar as a staff member. "A dream is coming true. I used to watch Movistar's exploits as a little boy, and to be part of this team now is incredible. I won't believe it until I get to put on the jersey soon," Romeo said in the press release.

Romeo excels as a time trialist. He secured gold in the national championship ITT in the men's junior category last year. "I am very demanding and want to improve myself every day. I want to be there right away and contribute to whatever role. I'm really looking forward to preparing for the new season," concluded Romeo.
