Following a crash on the final stage of #TirrenoAdriatico, as a precaution, @tompidcock withdrew from the race. He was treated by our doctor at the team bus having sustained mild abrasions. He’ll be undergoing further assessment and treatment.
Tom Pidcock has had a very strong start to the season, winning a stage at the Volta ao Algarve and then riding to victory at Strade Bianche. He lost his rhythm however and attempted to get back to business at Tirreno-Adriatico, but has crashed out on the final day of the race.
The Briton was rather absent from the Italian race, mostly showing his face on stage 6 where he rode to 9th position on the day. On the final day of the race he suffered a crash and abandoned the race, however INEOS has confirmed he only suffered mild abrasions. Pidcock will be racing Milano-Sanremo next weekend, before he prepares for the Tour des Flandres and the Ardennes classics.
