The Tour de l'Avenir has reached it's decisive weekend and the USA is in the lead. Matthew Riccitello has put on a stupendous performance to win the 11-kilometer mountain time-trial with a large margin.
The American put in 39 and 45 seconds respectively on Davide Piganzoli and Isaac del Toro, also second and third in the overall classification now over a minute behind. The first stage of the day has proven very important but this afternoon the riders will already take on stage 7b where they will face more mountainous ascents and a finish at Mont Cenis.
