Matteo Jorgenson of
Movistar Team was the strongest, launching a powerful attack on the last 200 meters that grant him a strong win. With this win and with Jesus Herrada losing time, Jorgenson become the new leader of the general classification.
Three riders from pro continental teams formed today's breakaway, being caught around 7 kilometres to the finish line. On the approach of the climb a big fight for positioning happened with the team trains trying their best to put at the front their general classification riders.
At the approach of the last km of the climb, Matteo Jorgenson launched a powerful attack that selected a lot of the group and was followed by few riders. Later closer to the finish he attacked again and this time for the victory.
Matteo Jorgenson (Movistar Team) finished ahead of
Mauri Vansevenant (Soudal-Quick-Step) and Cristian Rodriguez (Arkéa-Samsic), becoming the new leader of the race.
