Lotto Dstny recruits two new sports directors for 2024 including Tony Gallopin

Lotto Dstny strengthens its core of sports directors with Tony Gallopin (35) and Dirk Demol (63) from 2024 onwards.

Tony Gallopin is currently still riding as a professional cyclist and will say goodbye to the professional peloton at the end of this season. He knows the Lotto Dstny family, because he raced with the team for four years (2014-2017), first Lotto-Belisol, later Lotto-Soudal.

"With Tony we bring in someone who knows the team and who comes straight out of the pro peloton," says CEO Stéphane Heulot. "It is important for our team of sports directors to keep in touch with the riders and with what is going on in the peloton. Tony also gets the chance to learn the job by doing and to grow as a sports director."

Dirk Demol is also not unknown to Lotto Dstny and was already a rider for the team in the nineties. "Dirk has known the game for years and reads the race like no other. He can rely on years of experience and brings us a lot of expertise."
