The first week of the Tour de France is over. It had everything, from explosive stages in the hills, total mountain brawls, a thrilling time-trial, echelons, incredibly popular victories and finally a brutal stage on gravel roads. The race stabilizes in what is the final day of it's first half. The peleton has arrived at stage 10, a day for the sprinters to battle for another win.
Can Biniam Girmay get his 3rd today or will it be Jasper Philipsen to get his first of this Tour?
Nice to see Wout feeling strong, pity his endurance isn’t quite where it needs to be. Mathieu did well not to try anything silly yesterday, pretty sure his current philosophy is try if the situation is worth it but without risking exhaustion.
His quota for stage wins is completed for the next 4 years and his contract is secure as well
