Joshua Tarling continues to prove exactly why he is so highly rated by those in the know. Just 19 years old, the Welshman has won the individual time-trial at the British National Championships.
"It was windy but to be honest I think we did it perfectly. The pacing and everything was class so, all good," the INEOS Grenadiers starlet said in a post-race interview with British Cycle Sport, alluding to his strategy. "Just nail the corners and don't go too hard on the first lap."
Tarling took a quite dominant victory, beating Fred Wright into second place by over a minute (1:03). "For sure I'm super happy," he continued. "It's a bit weird, isn't it? I don't know what to say but I'm super happy."
With this win, Tarling adds the British National time-trial title to the Under 23 World Championship time-trial title he picked up in Wollongong in 2022.
