- That's more than 10 days ahead, any forecast is completely unreliable
- Its is well know from aerodynamics that 4 good riders are better then 1 top class ride if all the 4 riders work together. This is what happens in the sprints. the problem is as soon as Pogi is gone, people start competing for 2nd and 3rd
- Who knows what Ayuso will be like at LT, but still, Skelmose has only shown/won in 1 race from what I can see this year...
- "On the other hand, Pogacar would never have lost this race"- So the discussion is kinda moot right irrespective of tactics. It was ok to try something else to see what ticks. At least they tried, what were the Dutch tactics? They did not come into play at all
- "Cycling" doesn't have an issue, old cycling nations have a problem, fed by the media experts, Belgium, Holland, France and Italy appear to be upset at these upstart Slovenians. One of the things I love about sport is new challenging the old perceptions. Every one asks how he does it, I think it's down to someone maximising every phsyiological, technical and nutritional aspect there is. I'd get used to it, he's the best there is and there's nobody close..... sounds like a Belgian in the past
- To be fair excluding Pogi, nobody wants to work for anybody else. UAE is a dysfunctional team. At the same time Ayuso's displays are public especially w.r.t Almeida and Pogi. I think here also there will be some sparks which is always good for drama
- I pity Lidl Trek, they always give off great vibes, Ayuso never seems to give off good vibes... When you look at the harmony within UAE there only seems to be one bad egg, is Ayuso the discord? I guess we'll never know the inner workings of it all but I can't help be concerned at what happens with Lidl Trek
- Ayuso will be a total distraction and cause chaos and infighting
- Well, at the risk of seeming like I simply must have the last word, heh, I would still just like to point out that lots of people have been convicted of war crimes in recent wars including those in Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Ukraine, and including Western personnel from Iraq & Afghanistan. So I don't dispute that they inevitably and sadly happen in every war, only that Israel is being unduly harshly criticised over theirs. What seems different is the extent to which there is a pattern, and evidence that it is not just rogue personnel but deliberate strategy from above, right up to the highest levels in some cases, plus the ample evidence of genocidal or ethnic cleansing intent (a key critieria) in statements by top level military and political figures. I mean they've basically openly admitted to breaking Geneva Convention articles around collective punishment and witholding food and water as a weapon of war - it's this kind of thing that gets top figures charged with war crimes instead of just "a few bad apples".
- Team Belgium, along with most other teams, still haven’t figured out, that making the race harder, plays right into Pogi’s hands, and is only wearing them out, not Pogi.
