Jarrad Drizners abandons Vuelta a Espana with Covid-19 infection

Lotto Soudal have prioritized their team into the late-season classics and on pursuing points in suiting terrain, and gave room to many of it's young riders to participate in the Vuelta a Espana. Jarrad Drizners was one of them, but today his Grand Tour debut came to an end after a positive Covid-19 test.

The team did not share whether the Australian had symptoms or not, but confirmed his departure from the race. Drizners, 23 years of age, has featured in the breakaway on the fourth day of the race, after earning his spot in the team's lineup at the Tour de Pologne where he won the KOM classification.
