The Vuelta a Espana is halfway through the course. While this scorching heat continues, the team and riders are enjoying a break on Monday.
The weather forecast indicates that riders may face high temperatures and sunny weather in the coming stages. A lack of rain will only increase the pain of riders. During the afternoon, tropical temperatures will reach over 30 degrees, bringing additional pain to riders.
The time trial stage on Tuesday won't see too much heat, but Wednesday's stage will be challenging due to the dry and hot weather. The temperature is expected to cross 33 degrees. Thursday will remain the same expect more heat along the coast of Andalusia.
Temperature is expected to remain below 30 degrees for the rest of Friday's stage and the weekend ahead. Weekend stages will see further drops in temperature on mountain tops.
