Jakob Fuglsang eager to make up for lost time at Tour de Hongrie - "Was difficult to be on the sidelines for so long"

Jakob Fuglsang's participation in competitions this season has been limited as he withdrew from his first event, the UAE Tour, in February due to inflammation in his left testicle. Nonetheless, his team has issued a positive update on his condition.

According to Israel Premier Tech, Fuglsang has resumed cycling and assuming things progress favourably, he intends to return to competitive cycling at the Tour de Hongrie, which will take place from May 10th to May 14th.

“I am very motivated to get back on my bike,” Fuglsang said. Although he will have been out of the peloton for nearly four months by the time he returns, he is maintaining a positive outlook and is enthusiastic about rejoining the peloton.

“It was difficult to be on the sidelines for so long. It is even more difficult to know that I will have to miss the Ardennes classic, which is one of my favourite races. However, the season is long, and I am very much looking forward to racing again,” concluded Fuglsang.
