🇮🇹 #ILombardia 😄😎 @rogla
Today is the day. Yesterday Primoz Roglic was confirmed to be joining BORA - hansgrohe for the coming season and today he races for Jumbo-Visma for the final time. However, he has the opportunity to end his time with the Dutch team on a high.
“We have experienced so many great moments and built so many memories during all these years. This is my last challenge with Jumbo-Visma, I want to say a beautiful goodbye," the Slovenian said at the start line in Como this morning. Roglic is ending his time with Jumbo-Visma on good terms, after joining the team and having a very successful career since 2016.
Roglic wants to hunt a Tour de France win and most likely that would not be very likely with the Dutch team, having Jonas Vingegaard on the helm. However the Vuelta a Espana was most likely the trigger point, as the last few days of racing saw Roglic keeping himself conservative as the team decided to conserve the lead and overall win of Sepp Kuss.
Today however Roglic races Il Lombardia. He has won the 2020 Liège-Bastogne-Liège and taking into consideration his recent form, it is possible to assume that the Slovenian could be riding into his second monument win.
