Tadej Pogacar currently holds a contract until 2027, one of the longest in pro cycling, but UAE Team Emirates has the interest of already extending it. Vast amounts of financial resources and a commitment to the sport see the team already thinking of renewing with the Slovenian until 2029.
This is reported by Gazzetta dello Sport's Ciro Scognamiglio and the reason behind these talks are regarding the World Championships in 2028, which will take place in the UAE's capital of Abu Dhabi. It seems the team is very happy with it's star and want to keep it all the way into that season, or perhaps even further already anticipating a possible world title.
