"I started my sprint a bit too soon" - Harm Vanhoucke switches places with Felix Gall at Classic Grand Besançon Doubs

After the Classic Grand Besançon Doubs yesterday, another race was held in France with the Tour du Jura. There were 14 guys making it in the early breakaway, among them Matys Grisel for Lotto Dstny. After being caught, it was up to Harm Vanhoucke to finish off the work of his teammates, closing in in fifth place.

"On a climb unfortunately Matys dropped, so then we didn't have anyone upfront anymore. Thomas and Matys started to control together with other teams, which made the gap smaller, going from four minutes to one minute 30 seconds," Vanhoucke explains in press release.

"The racing was on the whole day. Then it was waiting until the final climb, just like yesterday. From the bottom of the climb until the finish it was just à bloc. David Gaudu rode away and stayed upfront, on 500 meters of the finish behind him we were still with four riders. I started my sprint a bit too soon."

Vanhoucke is really happy about his shape: "After yesterday I was confident about my shape. It shows that my form is here."
