Geraint Thomas shows off his football skills - "Just waiting on that contract now"

Geraint Thomas and his teammates recently tried their luck in football as the team paid a visit to the training ground of the Ineos-sponsored team OGC Nice.

Thomas is a proud Arsenal fan. Ineos Grenadiers recently released a video showing Filippo Ganna, Ethan Hayter, Ben Swift, Thomas and the rest of the team playing football. While they are among the best riders in the cycling world, the same can’t be said for football.

It just goes to prove they are normal humans, just like us, who are not perfect in everything. Thomas even took to social media to crack a joke. “Cracking team camp with Ogcnice. Was a little rusty at first but soon pinging them in from all over the park. Aaron Ramsey was definitely impressed. Just waiting on that contract now,” posted Thomas on social media.

Many fans even cracked jokes at them. One user wrote, “And I always wondered why pro cyclists get paid less than pro footballers.” Overall it was a fun experience for the team, “Check out these skills. Okay, maybe we'll stick to what we do best, but thank you to everyone at Ogcnice for having us and good luck on Sunday,” posted Ineos Grenadiers on their social media.
