From top to bottom - Hongrie leader Olav Kooij hospitalized after high-speed crash

Today's stage of the Tour de Hongrie was pan-flat, but very eventful as the wind swept from the plains of central Europe creating echelons in the peloton. It was however a hefty peloton that into the final kilometer to fight for the stage win, but race leader Olav Kooij was part of a mass crash that has not allowed him to finish the stage.
The incident took place with around 500 meters to go, with a likely touch of wheels in the origin of the accident that took many riders down. Several Jumbo-Visma riders were involved, and the winner of the opening stage couldn't get back on the bike. The team has stated on social media that "he has been taken to the hospital for further checks."
