Tim Merlier who took the win on the opening stage with Jakobsen forced to accept 4th place. "It was then an all-out effort to the line," he details. "I’m confident that we’ll get a chance at fighting for the win here. Fourth is a positive start to the week and I’m quite happy with how the final went.”
After an individual time-trial on stage 2 and a summit finish on stage 3, Jakobsen will get another chance to take his first win in his new colours on stage 4.
