The French selection for the 2023 European Cycling Championships in Drenthe has been announced. Arnaud Démare and Christophe Laporte are the biggest names starting on Sunday in the road race for elite men.
Arnaud Démare, who joined Arkéa-Samsic from August 1, sprinted to third place in the Grand Prix d'Isbergues last Sunday. Laporte achieved sixth place more than a week earlier in the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.
Julian Alaphilippe and Valentin Madouas are not present in Drenthe. Both will be racing the Tour of Luxembourg this week. The two leaders will be accompanied by wild cards Benoit Cosnefroy and Florian Sénéchal. Rémi Cavagna will be French biggest hope for ITT.
