- Lipowitz is something special and no matter where he ends up (second? fourth?) we’ve seen it this year.
- Vingegaard has been caught out by a less than perfect spring, the concussion interrupting the prep needed to succeed, his strong team fading around him after spending so many days attacking. They’ve collectively been the Pogacar of ‘22 and he by himself (with AYates and Narvaez delivering the red carpet) the Jumbo Visma of that year.
- There are plenty of overhyped European riders and pundits on here shooting their mouths off..
- Visma's plan of "attack Pog a lot" might seem like a good idea, but shockingly enough, it really tires the attacking riders out. Then the rider that hasn't been attacking will really make them pay for it.
Hats off to them for trying something against a guy who might end up being the greatest of all time, but there's a reason why so much of cycling is about saving, not spending, energy.
- Evenepoel did very well today, given the place his body was. He has a new threat from behind but so far the podium is like last year’s, and he’s doing well. As for the point about other teams helping - maybe? So far, Visma seems to have destroyed itself by trying to tire Pogacar. I don’t know if other teams are just dealing with the liminal space, getting what they can when the podium is out of reach.
- Thank you!
- Similar was said about Paris Roubaix though so I'd say its very much possible if he feels good as Pogi said himself many times, he wants to race any race he can win while he can win as has no idea when he'll be 'old news'
- Sit down Tyler - and keep quiet
- More whining from Remco 😂
- With teammates like that, who needs competitors?
