The cycling season has almost reached its end, and some big names of the peloton are travelling to the United States to participate in Big Sugar
Gravel. Bora-Hansgrohe riders
Jordi Meeus and
Cian Uijtdebroeks will be riding for the first time, whereas
Kasper Asgreen,
Ilan van Wilder and Mattia Cattaneo are already familiar with the race format and have some experience. The gravel race is part of the LifeTime Grand Prix.
Those who place best over the six races will get an opportunity to share a very nice prize pool of $250,000. But the ride is not going to be an easyone. Gravel specialists such as Laurens ten Dam, Keegan Swenson, Lachlan Morton, Logan Owen and Peter Stetina will also make an appearance in the race.
But this does not stop Uijtdebroeks from enjoying the race. Uijtdebroeks is very excited about his professional debut in gravel racing. "It's fantastic to be in America. We are very curious to go offroad. Jordi and I are going to ride a gravel race for the first time. We are very motivated and are really looking forward to it. The weather is already very good. Let's go for it, come on,” said Uijtdebroeks.
