Benoit Cosnefroy and Nans Peters renew with AG2R Citroën through 2025

AG2R Citroën extends two of its core riders - Benoit Cosnefroy and Nans Peters for another two years. Peters has been part of the French structure since 2009 when he joined the junior project while Cosnefroy transferred to the U23 team in 2015 from cyclocross.

Benoit Cosnefroy: "The ambitious project presented by Vincent Lavenu and the coaching staff for the coming seasons has convinced me to continue the adventure. I'm about to enter the best years of my career, and I'll certainly be keen to shine for the AG2R CITROËN team. Since I joined AG2R CITROËN in 2017, I've found my true bearings. The repeated expressions of confidence over the years have enabled me to win some great races. The story isn't over yet, and I'm convinced that we still have the best to write together."

Nans Peters: "I'm delighted to be joining the AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. It's a very exciting project and I was obviously keen to be part of it. Since the junior ranks, the team's history has endured. Naturally, I'm very attached to its history and very proud to continue writing it. Over the seasons, my role has evolved, and I'm as enthusiastic as ever about achieving the goals set by the team. I've found my balance by putting myself at the service of my leaders in the mountains, while also having the opportunity to play my personal card from time to time."

GP Québec 2022 champion Cosnefroy is yet to win this year with his best result being 3rd places from at Brabantse Pijl and two stages from smaller French 2.Pro stage races. On the other hand Peters surprised with a Trofeo Laigueglia 30 km solo win in March.
