Now that the 2023 cycling season has come to an end, we also know how many riders all countries can send to the Olympic Games for the road trial and the time trial. Belgium, together with Great Britain and France, is the only one allowed to send a maximum of 8 participants.

Based on the UCI country ranking, it is decided how many riders per country may participate in the Olympic road race in Paris in both - road race and the individual time trial combined. Belgium finished in the top 5 for both men and women, which allows the country to line up 4 riders for the road race each time.

Belgium is also allowed to have 2 riders start in the time trial for the men, but then they must also participate in the road race. After all, each country is allowed to field a maximum of 4 different riders. For women, Belgium is granted 1 place for the time trial.
