Baloise - Trek Lions also a victim of stolen bikes and leaves Baloise Belgium Tour

News surfaced this morning that the Euskaltel - Euskadi team has been a victim of mass bike theft at the Tour of Slovenia, but they were not the only teams affected. Back over at the Baloise Belgium Tour, the continental Baloise - Trek Lions team has suffered the same fate and abandons the race.

“Last night we were victims of a theft of our bicycles and wheels. Unfortunately, it is therefore not possible for us to start today in the last stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour. We await the police investigation," the team shared in a post on social media. A smaller level team - despite being big in the cyclocross field - it comes as a meaningful hit financially, but it also forces this morning the Belgian squad to abandon the race.
