Negative news have come from the ground at the
Tour of Slovenia this morning,
Euskaltel - Euskadi will be leaving the race with immediate effect after having been victim of mass theft overnight.
All seven riders of the team's lineup were still present in the race as of yesterday, but the team has revealed this morning that all bikes were stolen from a vehicle. This certainly happened overnight, with the team unable to continue in the competition for the final day of the race. Filippo Zana is in the race lead but carries very small gaps into the final hilly day.
