Bahrain - Victorious reveal stacked climbing lineup towards Il Lombardia victory objective

Bahrain - Victorious have a strong group of climbers within their ranks, and they are targeting the final monument of the season hard as they reveal their lineups for Il Lombardia - and Gran Piemonte simultaneously.

The team is sending the same riders for both races, in order to prepare. Mikel Landa, third at this year's Giro d'Italia may be at the head of affairs for the mountainous race, but it will feature several other high-level climbers who are likely to play a role in the race in Damiano Caruso, Gino Mäder and Wout Poels.

The quartet all climb very well and will be favoured. Matej Mohoric, winner of Milano-Sanremo earlier in the year, has suffered from illnesses in the last few months but has shown increasing form in the recent CRO Race where he took the overall win, and will be a fan of the race's expected ~7 hours of racing.

The mountains will be the full focus for the team, who complete their lineup with Hermann Pernsteiner and Edoardo Zambanini who are expected to be able to ride along the peloton until the late stages of the race.

Bahrain - Victorious for Il Lombardia (and Gran Piemonte): Damiano Caruso, Mikel Landa, Gino Mäder, Matej Mohoric, Hermann Pernsteiner, Wout Poels and Edoardo Zambanini.
