Alex Aranburu has won the second stage of the Tour du Limousin. He was the fastest amongst his rivals to cross the finish line.
The breakaway included Maxime Urruty and Maël Guégan. The duo worked together to gain a lead of over 5 minutes from the peloton. They increased the lead to over 7 minutes 80 kilometers before the finish line.
The gap started to decrease in the next few kilometers and eventually came down to under one minute 14 kilometers before the finish line. The duo was finally caught by the peloton just 10 kilometers before the finish line. The peloton was ready for a sprint. Aranburu, who secured bronze in the first stage, took the victory as Eduard-Michael Grosu took the silver. Clément Venturini finished in third place.
