- Absolutely no way they would've made such a junk call for a World Tour rider. They just got stitched up by some jobsworth and without the clout to make the officials see sense. Great gesture by the other podium finishers though.
- I don't think they think of it in terms of time gains, it's just being ultra strict on some stuff (while with other stuff they are super lenient). Basically the UCI is really weak (not as if no-one knew that) and so they don't want to go back in any way on anything they have said even if they made the wrong decision
- What an odd decision by the UCI. Are they suggesting he purposely crashed to get the brake levers closer together?! Surely, any perceived time gain from the brake levers being closer together would have already been forfeited BY THE CRASH.

Remco didn't lose his level and it was not regression - he never reached the required level anyway. In Trofeo Serra Tramuntana, he tried but couldn't drop Adrià Pericas and Pablo Castrillo on Coll de Sóller - he dropped them on the descent. The following day in Trofeo Andratx Pollença, he could not make a move on Coll de Puig Major (mostly because of a certain Iván Romeo) and he won it because of his engine on the flat and his punch on the final climb (even when he attacked and dropped Mathys Rondel, the Frenchman stayed quite close). Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana was decided on punch, not climbing, and Remco dropped Tiberi, Almeida after a superb lead out from Giulio Pellizzari (whose work made a huge difference) and the gap did not baloon. In Mallorca and Valenciana, Evenepoel never showed that he had the climbing ability to contest Jebel Mobrah and Jebel Hafeet. Also, Malori's explanation doesn't really make sense on its own, but if you think about in line with what I've detailed above, it does make plenty of sense.- I agree. What's up with that? I thought bad juju first. Now it's sus.
- The unfortunate mechanical, the late flat, once again prevents Wout van Aert from participating in the final. This is a sad part of his history (I'm thinking of Paris Roubaix a few years ago). I wonder how it is that he gets these mechanicals more than others on his team, and his team more than other teams (at least that's how it feels to me - maybe I'm wrong).
- Brennan isn’t!
- You obviously have VERY little info available, which may explain why you keep repeating the same (often incorrect) stuff, in the same way (Einstein once said something about people like that). In fact, it seems you spend more time copy-pasting your own texts than trying to understand others.
Maybe you’re extremely young or 2021 is before you discovered cycling but MVDP already showed the world how to deal with Tadej (and everyone else) in Strade and even at his best Tadej would NOT have managed to recover from that attack, sorry to break your heart.
- Nothing to do with the country. Those who’ve been here long enough know why he’s not one of my favourites and seems ever more unlikely to become one.
As for awards, as far as I recall, I’ve NEVER said he shouldn’t have got one.
Not sure you’ll become more popular here focussing on me rather than him but it should be easier for getting yourself a few votes. Be my guest if it makes you feel better.
- Maybe a chilly camp would have been useful, or just a chili
