A month after announcing her departure from the FDJ-SUEZ, Emilia Fahlin found a new base in France. After five years spent in the French WorldTeam, the 35-year-old Swede signed up for a season with the future Arkéa-B&B Hotels.
"I am enthusiastic about joining the Arkéa-B&B Hotels Women team. For me, this is a new chapter in my career, a new challenge. It is the right time to join, because the team wants to grow and become stronger in the near future. I am therefore happy to be able to contribute to this beautiful project which is gradually being built. I will have a sort of 'big sister' role to the young riders in the team. I will be passing on my high-level experience, a sort of 'mentor' for them."
"But I might also play my own card according to the race circumstances, and thus obtain good results. My philosophy is to have fun racing. My goals for the next season will be to ensure that the team is selected for the 3rd edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. I want to compete in this event that I have not yet done, but also to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with the Swedish national team."
