Germany break world record to claim thrilling Women's Team Sprint gold

Germany have won a thrilling Women's Team Sprint race at the UCI Track World Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France by beating China in a new world record time of 45.967.

After Great Britain had edged out the Netherlands by a mere eight thousandths of a second to claim bronze, it came down to Germany vs China for the gold and silver. Germany who had already broken the world record once previously in the day, proceeded to break it again, breaking the 46 second barrier in the process!
