55"433 - Jeffrey Hoogland beats 10-year long record in the 1Km Track event

1 kilometer on the track with a standing start, a very simple to understand yet brutal effort. 56"303 was the time which former record holder François Pervis had, but that was beaten tonight by Dutch specialist Jeffrey Hoogland.

Completely focused in the effort, Hoogland and his team travelled to the Aguascalientes velodrome in Mexico where several riders have beaten recent records. To ride 1 kilometer took Hoogland 55"433 seconds which sees him beat the former record by a very large margin, averaging a speed of 64.943Km/h.
