- he should just retire to his real-estate empire.
and about the crash, he blamed the organizers. yet he did a full recon of the stage prior, knew the road was bad, and road too fast for the conditions.
- amen
- I'm not blaming the crash on Jonas. I'm blaming everyone's injury on their own decision. Jonas did a recon, he knew the corner was horrific. but he trusted the rider in front of him, instead of being in the safest place, at the absolute front.
I have zero sympathy for someone that choses their own actions and blames someone else for it.
so it isn't just Jonas, it is remco and everyone else that crashed. they over cooked the corner.
this is my opinion, you can disagree. and Jonas cries about every single course. today there was snow. as I noted, Andy Hampsten is somewhere shaking his head at his whining.
as for Strade, you don't think it is a hard race? or you do? and % finishers does not deem it hard or not. there are many other factors.
lastly I will never mou or whatever you call it. really don't want to be associated with your made up words and language.
- Well actually closer to 180 CX races and 8 world championships. Plus a sprinkling of MTB World Cup wins. Maybe one of the best multi discipline riders ever.
- Jonas will be in for quite the surprise at the Giro ! Often run at snow line! Geez grow a pair!
- Such a buzzkill! These are pro riders - not an amateur race!
- He was actually hoping MVDP would take his turn at the front, and not suck his wheel 80% of the time. This is simple racing protocol.. if you join a breakaway, take your turn at the front.. don't be a passenger. MVDP always employs such tactics, pretending he's at the limit, but actually conserving energy for the sprint. MSR or P-R, or Flanders.. same sneaky tactic.
- It is starting to sound like his wife's article remarks where also shared by Jonas. He said last week that he didn't do as well as he wanted at the tour last year due to his fall. And had he not fallen it would have been different and nobody truly knew how bad the fall was. Now, complaining about weather. Just say the weather wasn't good for you, but you gave it your best. And about the fall, just say my run up to the race was sub par due to my crash. I was just not 100% yet. Instead he is starting to sound like he is making excuses for anything and everything. Not a good look for a tur winner.
- But Mathieu's best Tour de France result was 50th place, with 3 DNFs in 6 appearances. Oh yes, to be fair, MVDP has won a total of 30 (?) BMX races.. or rather cyclocross races I mean.. sorry..
- no,no,no,no,no
