The 6 Cyclocross races where we will see a battle between Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock

The Cyclocross season is in full steam between the seasoned pros, but in the upcoming weeks a new phase begins. The 'big three' will return to the field, and all three will take part in 6 different races. Here is where Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock will match up.

All three have busy schedules on the road - and mountain biking with the exception of van Aert - and so all three take up reduced schedules in the discipline. Pidcock and van Aert specially, they will not race the World Championships as they look to focus on other goals throughout the season, whilst van der Poel will likely be the main favourite for the rainbow stripes.

After the two legends of the sport announced their schedules in the last few weeks, this Wednesday morning INEOS Grenadiers revealed Pidcock's. It includes 10 races, 6 of which he will face his two main rivals. Last year he won in Kortrijk and Boom but never directly beat his rivals. As most of his racing takes place in the Christmas block, he inevitably finds the duo.

These are the races in which the 'big three' will all take part in:

23/12: World Cup Antwerp

26/12: World Cup Gavere

30/12: World Cup Hulst

04/01: X20 Badkamers Trofee Koksijde

07/01: World Cup Zonhoven

21/01: World Cup Benidorm
