OFFICIAL: Tom Pidcock skips Cyclocross World Championships - Confirmed schedule features 10 races; battles with Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert

Tom Pidcock returns to cyclocross on the 16th of December in Herentals. The INEOS Grenadiers rider has confirmed his schedule for the 2023-2024 Cyclocross season and it is revealed that he will not race the World Championships, but will battle with Mathieu van der Poel.

The news were already expected, as the Briton looks to perform on the road this year, whilst having an equally important goal in the MTB Olympics where he looks to revalidate his gold medal in the XCO event. Like Wout van Aert, he will skip the World Championships, but will still race 10 events in the space of just over a month, a very dense racing schedule.

Pidcock will make his debut in one of the hardest weekends of the season featuring the hilly Herentals and Namur races, on the 16th and 17th of December. He will be present at the Christmas block and race most events, which include World Cup rounds in Antwerp, Gavere, Hulst and Zonhoven. Pidcock will not race the national or World Championships and his final presence will be at the Benidorm World Cup on the 21st of January. Afterwards he is expected to take a break before preparing for his specific goals elsewhere.
