Sanne Cant takes a break from CX to "give my body some rest and work on my basic condition"

Sanne Cant will take a short break from cycling. Despite her constant efforts, she hasn't had the results she'd hoped for in the field. She will be back on her bike competing in X2O Trofee Herentals this January.

"This way, I can give my body some rest and work on my basic condition," said Cant. She did not take a break after the road season ended as she switched to cyclocross.

"The intention is to grow towards my better level that way because, after all, I am still a full-time crosser and the January month is and remains the most important period of the winter season. I don't want to leave anything to chance," explained Cant.

In September, she started her cross season with Exact Cross Kruibeke Polderscross, where she finished fourth, her best result. Her last appearance was in World Cup Antwerpen, where she placed 10th. She is currently training in Spain with her team.
