Mathieu van der Poel secures World cup Besançon win with impressive performance

Mathieu van der Poel emerged victorious in the World Cup Besançon, showing his readiness for the World Championship as he swiftly rode to first place, far ahead of the other riders.

Joris Nieuwenhuis had an impressive start, Mathieu van der Poel was close behind. Clément Venturini was assertive and grabbed the lead. Van der Poel was more methodical and rode behind for the first three laps.

The fourth lap saw van der Poel pull ahead of his rivals by a large margin. Eli Iserbyt, Laurens Sweeck, and others were working to close the gap. By the next two laps, he had a lead of more than one minute.

Mathieu van der Poel crossed the finish line first and secured the win. Laurens Sweeck finished second. Joris Nieuwenhuis took the bronze.
