Team DSM will debut a new adjustable tire pressure system at this weekends Paris-Roubaix and Wout van Aert for once is incredibly impressed.
"We always try to find new things, and it's a huge innovation," says the Jumbo-Visma rider who will enter the French cobbles as one of the favourites for overall victory. "If you can have lower pressure on the cobbles and still have the normal pressure you're used to on the tarmac, it's a big-big benefit for all the accelerations in between."

So what is the reason that this new system is seen as so revolutionary? Well Paris-Roubaix famously sees the peloton interchange between bumpy, curved cobblestones and smooth, flat road meaning that the riders bikes tire pressure settings are forced to compromise and have less than optimal levels for at least one of the section. But no more.
"I think it's of course something that maybe can help us. I think it can be a huge advantage, but we don't want to give all the secrets already," says Wout van Aert who interestingly has chosen against using Jumbo-Visma's Gravaa KAPS.

A system designed to inflate and deflate tyres during competition. After rigorous testing in training and racing, we can't wait to ride it @parisroubaix on Sunday! 🙌🏻#KeepChallenging #ParisRoubaix pic.twitter.com/o3ZJuk5HLJ
