Lotto Dstny have gone all out dor victory with their Gent-Wevelgem lineup. Both
Arnaud de Lie and
Caleb Ewan will be at the startline and both will be dark horses for overall victory.
“The previous times I didn't start with the attitude to win, but now I do," Caleb Ewan tells Sporza, sending out a warning to the field. "I think this is a race in which I can get a good result, although that will also depend on the course of the race. If the conditions are not too harsh, I can play along. Otherwise it might be more likely for Arnaud. We both hope to be there in the final.”
De Lie meanwhile is quick to ease any concerns people may have over the ability of he and Ewan to work together. “It is always nice to race together with Caleb. There is no rivalry between us. We are also both honest about how we feel in the race and then we help each other."
"Arnaud is more versatile in the sprint. Classics are more suited to him. But we both like to win," Ewan adds. “With Arnaud there is less pressure on my shoulders and vice versa. Then we have different options. I like to race with him, but that is not always possible.”
