We have lived an exciting week of cycling in the Volta a Catalunya with final victory for Primoz Roglic in the overall and Remco Evenepoel in the last stage. The Belgian cyclist carried the weight of the stage with continuous attacks and in the end took the victory.
In the final sprint, Remco overtook Primoz on the finishing straight and ended up overtaking him clearly. It was a comfortable win as after Roglic managed to withstand the attacks, he kept the pace high towards the finish as with bonifications alone it would be impossible for Evenepoel to take the GC win. This was very likely their final battle before they take to the start of the Giro d'Italia this May.
