Portuguese newspaper Record has confirmed alongside sources involved in the process that all the W52 - FC Porto riders tested during last week's GP O Jogo - where
the team was the target of a nation-wide police raid - gave out negative results for any doping substance.
With team DS Nuno Ribeiro suspended by the authorities from remaining in functions with the team, the Portuguese squad has already announced the hiring of Jorge Henriques - former EFAPEL academy DS - as their new leader on the road. The biological passports of all athletes are reported to be validated and considered to be in order, with blood and urine tests taken on the day not showing any signs of doping substances.
W52 CEO Adriano Quintanilha also confirmed to the Jornal de Notícias newspaper that "the athletes received this afternoon the results of the exams, and they were all negative, to blood, and to urine. The biological passports were also correct."
The process, named "Operação Limpa" is still ongoing. On the 24th of April two arrests were made, including Nuno Ribeiro, and all 12 riders of the team were constituted as defendants.
