Team Visma | Lease a Bike are undergoing something of an overhaul before the 2025 campaign gets underway. Among the eight-strong list of riders set to depart at the of 2024, is Mick van Dijke, who's set to join Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe.
Before he goes though, Team Visma | Lease a Bike has shown their class by sending a warm goodbye message to the 24-year-old Dutchman. "Thank you Mick van Dijke," Visma's message on social media begins. "Thank you for letting us witness your remarkable growth from the front row these past years."
Having been with Visma throughout his entire career to date, Van Dijke and twin brother Tim (also set to depart Visma for Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe in 2025), have been a brilliant example of some of the homegrown produced by the Dutch team in recent years. "You started as a cornerstone of our Development Team for almost two years and then transitioned to the World Tour Team as a talented rider," Visma's farewell continues. "From a young rider with a dream, you’ve grown into a mature racer who knows what he wants."
"Racing Paris-Roubaix alongside your brother Tim was a childhood dream. Now, you’re off to pursue your dreams with a new team, and we sincerely wish you every success in this next chapter," concludes the goodbye message. "Forever a home-grown."
