"Give Primoz our warm regards" - Visma send heartfelt goodbye to Red Bull-bound Jan Tratnik

After just two seasons in the yellow and black of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Jan Tratnik departs for a new challenge in 2025, joining up with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe. As shown in a post on Visma socials, the Slovenian will be a much missed figure within the Visma set up.
"Thank you Jan Tratnik," the post begins. "Thank you for always being there to help your teammates. Your talent is undeniable, with your win at the Omloop as the absolute highlight of your period at Team Visma | Lease a Bike. We’ll miss not only your abilities as a rider, but also your smile, personality and the lessons you’ve shared."
In his final campaign at Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Tratnik took that aforementioned victory at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad back in February, and performed strongly in a domestique role at both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, proving his worth and importance to the team.
"This year, you were part of a Giro squad that didn’t back down and were the driving force behind the Team Visma | Lease a Bike Renaissance at the Tour de France shortly afterward," Visma's fareqell post concludes. "Best of luck with your new team, and give Primoz (Roglic ed.) our warm regards from everyone at Team Visma | Lease a Bike!"

- Maybe, I’m just putting out possibilities in a very light story. Considering both amateurs had ample opportunity to exchange in depth with the media reporter, it seems they didn’t have all that much to say in the way of specifics. And the first rider who seemed so keen on getting his side of the latter part out somehow didn’t find the first part of any public interest. Did they overtake the 2nd amateur at some point? - That may be so but he probably can’t say tgst as it could be considered breach of contract if he was signed up for team/JV duties, in which case we might never know because he won’t want to take the risk of having to pay like WVA. I don’t think anyone knows what was promised but he accepted a pay reduction and could easily have continued at Jayco.
