Mathieu van der Poel continues to ride an ultra-aggressive style at the 2024 E3 Saxo Classic but his longtime rival, Wout van Aert refuses to be dislodged.

With Movistar Team's Oier Lazkano erupting the fight of the favourites through the iconic train station, van der Poel was right over the top of the Spanish National Champion with his own, brutal move. As mentioned though, van Aert continued to ride exactly where he has all race so far, right in the back wheel of the world champion, refusing to let the Dutchman out of his sight.
