What's the point? Jonas doesn't have the charisma of Pogi? These are athletes not politicians. Attacking an athlete for lack of charisma is childish, although it is totally valid to say he should have opposed the continuation of the race at the time.19-03-2025 16:06

Pello's comments may not be well received right after the incident, but I think there is some validity to it. This took out many of the race GC favorites riding near the front of the peloton, so their teams where probably pacing the peloton at the time. Those teams probably needed to have approached that turn slower, however, they probably didn't realize how is dangerous that turn, as probably this race stage wasn't recon'ed earlier (unlike major stages at the Grand Tours). Possibly the race organizers, who hopefully know the course well, could have warned teams and/or provided a flag man at the site. But sometimes things just happen in competitive racing that are just difficult to manage04-04-2024 20:37

Not surprised by the conflicts within the peloton, but interesting to see things discussed so openly.26-03-2024 18:56

Matteo looked strong all week to me, maybe on par with Remco, and certainly on the last day. Remco definitely made a big mistake not going with Matteo or McNulty and Skelmose, but hopefully that was a valuable lessoned learned. I think getting the last stage win was very important for his self-confidence, as is helped save some amount of face and allowed him to leave Paris-Nice still with a positive outlook despite his mistakes. I'm sure privately he knows he and his team have a lot to work on.11-03-2024 18:41

Personally, now wish he was on the Giro startlist; swapping places with Cian at Tour and Giro. He'll be a good 2nd option to Jonas at TdF, but I think Kuss may already fill that role, as well as mountain domestique role. I don't see Cian being a GC lead at Giro yet. Most probably could not beat Tadej, but podium would have definitely been possible for Matteo at Giro, but not so much for Cian at this point.11-03-2024 17:13

What tactical mistakes were made? Just did not seem to be physically up to the challenge this week. Or unless not ensuring he kept himself warm is considered a tactical mistake. Hope this is just a glitch and Primoz will be at his peak in July.11-03-2024 16:55

Amazingly straightforward/direct comments from Wuyts. Either refreshingly honest and incisive or unwarrantedly derisive. We'll see on the roads and paths.05-01-2024 19:59

Hope he can hit the right peak(s), as this cyclocross season must have been hard on the ego, with MVDP just crushing everyone. It'll be interesting to see how he matches up with MVDP on the road this spring and in the Olympics, as well as how he does against his goals in the first week of the Giro.05-01-2024 19:52
