VIDEO: Mathieu van der Poel attacks on the infamous Taaienberg with 80km to go at E3 Saxo Classic

So far this year there seems to have been a theme of long, solo attacks to win races and world champion, Mathieu van der Poel is keen to that run going it seems at E3 Saxo Classic.

With just under 80km to go, the Alpecin-Deceuninck star has attacked on the infamous Taaienberg stretch of cobbles made famous by the legendary Tom Boonen. With a breakaway under three minutes up the road, van der Poel's is sending an early warning to his rivals on the day.
